摘要
基于母语语料库LOB和中国学习者语料库CLEC,采用对比分析法,对常用动词need的使用情况进行了研究。结果表明:中国学生总体上过度使用主动词need,而情态动词使用却不足。同时,该词的使用存在着很多的误用和错用现象。对于这些不当的使用,中国学生也体现了自己的使用特征,这些特征基本上是由语内和语际迁移所导致的。研究结果对英语词汇教学具有一定的启示作用。
Basing on the learners' corpus CLEC and the native speakers' corpus LOB ,this article does a research on Chinese EFL learners' use of verb NEED. The result indicates that compared with the native speakers ,Chinese learners overuse the notional verb NEED while they under-use the model verb NEED. And their use of this word is not as multifarious as the native speakers and shows its features in their use. This paper further discusses the major reasons and gives pedagogical implications of corpus-based research to English teaching.
