通过对青藏高原拟步甲科昆虫足的比较研究发现,为适应严酷的高原环境,足的适应性特征主要是:地面活动的种类足明显伸长;地下活动种类足明显短缩,胫节外缘具齿,端外角明显延伸;生活于陡峭地区的种类胫节内端距发达,跗节腹面端部出现浓密的毛刷.
