摘要
对英语专业本科二年级学生的阅读能力进行了调查,在调查的基础上,探讨了影响学生英语阅读能力发展的主要问题及其根源,以期为提高英语阅读教学水平和学生的英语阅读能力提供参考。
Quantitative and qualitative approaches are employed as general framework for the whole research into the reading proficiency of the intermediate English majors at School of Foreign Languages, Xiaogan University. Based on the proceeding research study into the present status of the subjects' reading proficiency, the main problems in English reading and the sources of the problems are analyzed. The implications are given for further study on improving English reading teaching and reading proficiency.
