摘要
旨在改进教学模式的大学英语教学改革在丰富教育教学资源、拓宽学生的个性发展空间的同时,客观上对教师的职业发展提出了新的需求。文章分析了制约大陆高校英语教学的三个主要因素,引介了美国英语教师协会提出的自我发展内涵,并提出了完善英语教师专业知识结构、更新教学理念及促进教研相长的初步设想。
College English teaching reforms, aiming to enrich the teaching resources and develop the learners' potentials, are raising new demands to the teacher's professional development. This paper analyzed the main factors which barrier the college English teaching and learning, supposed some devises to perfect the teachers' knowledge structure, update the teaching approaches and benefit by learning from the learners as well as make use of the concepts summarized by the American English teachers' association.
