Challenge to Standard English Brought by Network English

通过对标准英语和网络英语的对比,归纳出网络英语单词/短语数字化、符号化和图像化的三个构词特征,以及多用短语、短句和不完全句、忽略首字母大小写、多用幽默语和诙谐语、重视网络礼仪四个语言特征,探讨了网络英语的发展对标准英语带来的冲击和挑战。

Through the contrast between the Standard English and network English, the challenges bought by the development of network English are discussed. The features on word formation and the language features of network English are analyzed. There are three features on word formation, digitalization, symbolization and pictorialization; and four language features, those are, using phrase, short sentence and incomplete sentence, neglecting the capital and small letter of initial, using humorous language, and paying attention to the network etiquette.
