提出广告英语已成为现代英语的重要组成部分,认为其有独特的语言魅力和说服功能。从词汇、句法和修辞等三个文体标记讨论了广告英语作为一种特殊语体的独特的语言特征和文体效果。
It is considered that advertising English is an important component of modern English; it has special linguistic features of its own and communicative and persuasive functions. Three major levels are discussed: lexical, syntactic and rhetoric levels. The unique language features and stylistic effects of advertising English are discussed basing on the major stylistic markers.
