摘要
1996年12月16日顺义Ms4．0地震，是北京地区近6a来最大的一次地震活动。此次地震前，首都困地区地震活动出现了近SN向弱震活动，11月份地震活动是全年月频次最低的月份，这些异常现象之后发生了顺义地震。此次顺义地震属非前兆世震群活动。这次地震活动是顺义及其附近地区1970年以来地震活动余震次数最多的一次。这次地震后应注意今后几个月京西北、张家口附近发生Ms5.0左右地震的可能。
The Ms 4. 0 earthquake happened in Shunyi on 16th Dec. 1996 was the biggest seismicity in the last six yeas in the Capital Area. Some weak earthquake's actions were found in SN direction in the Capital region. In addition, the monthly frequency of seismicity in November is the lowest in 1996. After all these abnormal phenomena, the swarm happened. By our study, we found that this swarm belongs to non-precursor seismicity. By comparing it with other swarms happened nearby since 1970, we found that this swarm had the largest number of aftershocks. Through analysis, we conclude that: more attentions should be paid to north-west of Beijing and Zhangjiakou area in the following several months, earthquakes with magnitude 5 may occur.
