摘要 本文提出并设计了分布式多用户三维虚拟校园远程教育系统。在三维空间中,利用虚拟现实技术构建虚拟的校园生活。将校园生活的各种场景、细节和体验完全复制到互联网上。不受空间位置和相互距离的限制,可让远距离的师生或位置分散的学生"共处于"一个虚拟的校园空间中,使得能够沉浸在友好的环境中,多用户交互,协同学习,激发学生的学习兴趣,提高远程教育质量,为远程教育增强学习的氛围、构建虚拟校园文化。该系统有效解决了当前远程教育所遇到的困难,具有很高的实用价值,将是远程教学系统的新发展方向。 The distributed three-dimension Virtual Campus system has the intention to consider social facets of the student's life as well. The main goal of this system is to create an educational communication and collaboration environment with three-dimension virtual reality. This system should not only provide all needs and functionality for the students in the distance education but also serve as some kind experience of campus life. In three-dimensional virtual campus environment, teachers and students in different location are seemed to life in the same space-virtual campus, so that the user can submerge himself in friendly environments that make learning more pleasant. They can communicate and collaborate with each other in the virtual campus, which inspires the learning interest and increases students' collective knowledge and facilitate cooperation. Hence, the Distributed three-dimension Virtual campus system which we present will be the new direction of modem distance education for its high practical worth in improving learning atmosphere and constructing campus culture.
