核心期刊在广东高校科研奖励机制中的应用及其评价

The Role of Core Journals in the Mechanism of Research Award in Guangdong Institutions of Higher Learning and an Evaluation

对广东7所高校的科研论文奖励条例的分析表明:一方面,基于核心期刊本身能在一定程度上反映期刊及其所刊载的论文的质量等因素,近年来核心期刊在广东省各高校的科研论文奖励制度中发挥了举足轻重的作用;另一方面,由于核心期刊"以刊论文"功能的拓展不可避免地引发了诸多负面效应,尤其是其对学术界带来的各种不良影响更与科研奖励的初衷背道而驰,广东的许多高校为此又对这一评价方式进行了各种变通和修正。

Our analysis of the research paper award regulations in seven Guangdong institutions of higher learning shows that on one hand, core journals play an important role in the mechanism of research paper award, but on the other hand, it brings many negative effects in the academia, which runs counter to the original purpose of research paper award. Thus the institutions have made some changes in this aspect.
