摘要
建构主义的隐喻观和隐喻的认知观确立了隐喻在语言和思维中的中心地位。隐喻的认知功能得到充分发展。因此,隐喻能力不仅仅是识别、理解和运用既得隐喻,而是应当注重习得蕴藏在语言符号之下的隐喻性认知机制并在言语交际中创造性地运用隐喻.在外语教学中培养学生的隐喻能力将是改进外语教学的一种有效途径。
The constructivist approach to metaphor and cognitive view of metaphor establish the central position of metaphor in language and thought, which accordingly promotes the cognitive function of metaphor. Metaphorical competence, therefore, is not the one referring exclusively to identifying, understanding and applying the given metaphors. Instead, the emphasis should be laid on the acquisition of the metaphorically cognitive mechanism laid underneath the linguistic signs and on the creative use of metaphor in verbal communication. It will be an efficient approach to promote foreign language teaching by fostering learners' metaphorical competence.
