摘要
提出了一种新的基于深亚微米总线功耗模型的总线低功耗编码方案——邻位反转编码。这一编码方案着重考虑了深亚微米工艺下线间耦合效应,相对于原有的基于孤立总线模型的编码方案更为有效。实验数据表明,可以有效减少总线传输功耗50%以上。对比传统的编码方案,在降低功耗方面有20%以上的提高。
A novel bus coding scheme based on deep sub-micrometer bus energy model is presented and named Adjacent Bit Reversal Coding. Such coding scheme is aware of the increasing importance of the inter-wire parasitic capacitance in deep sub-micron technology. Compared with the ceding scheme based on the isolated inter-wire bus model, Adjacent Bit Reversal Coding scheme works better. The experimental statistics proves that this novel coding scheme could reduce the more than 50% power than the uncoded bus transmission and have 20% improvement than the traditional coding scheme at least.
