浅议公共服务机构英文标识的规范化——以广州新白云国际机场为例

A Tentative Analysis of the Standardization of English Translated Signs in Public Services——Taking Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport as the Example

中国不少公共服务机构的英文译名一直不够规范,临近2008年北京奥运会,这一问题日益受到人们的关注。以广州新白云国际机场英文标识为例,具体分析了其中的一些不恰当译法的成因,并提出了相应的解决措施。

A number of English translated signs in domestic public services are not normative enough. As the 2008 Olympic Games in Belling is approaehing, this issue has caused people＇s increasing attention. This thesis, taking the English translated signs at Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport as the example, concretely analyzes the causes of the inappropriate translated terms, and gives the relevant suggestions as well.
