A Tentative Analysis of the Change of Hermeneutic Paradigm for The Analects of Confucius

《论语》意义生成与阐释范式的流变密切相关。学术思潮的更迭,形成不同的理论眼光,阐释范式也随之变迁。由古文经学之考据训诂到玄学义理,由援释入儒到理学识断,由自家心得再变为精审考据,由今文经学之微言大义到援引现代学术思想释经,在不同阐释范式的作用下,《论语》的意义疆界得以不断拓展。不同时代的意义阐释,建立起《论语》的意义与现实需要之间的历史关联,赋予《论语》对当下社会的话语权。由此,《论语》的经典地位被逐渐建构起来。

The meaning producing of The Analects of Confucius is closely connected with the change of hermeneutic paradigm. The hermeneutic paradigms of The Analects of Confucius varied along with the transformation of academic thoughts. Four primary methodological transitions took place in the hermeneutic history of The Analects of Confucius -- from textual exegesis of ancient prose to significance study of Dark Learning; from using Buddhism thoughts in the explanation of Confucian classics to meaning judgment of Sonxue; from individual percipience to precise textual research; from digging profound meaning of ancient prose to using modern academic thoughts to explain the classics. The meaning of The Analects of Confucius is extended under different paradigms. Explanations in different eras constructed the historical relations between the meaning of The Analects of Confucius and praxis and endowed it with a discursive power over contemporary society. Thus, the classic status of The Analects of Confucius is constructed.
