By constructing myths, changing myth patterns and describing dreams, prophecies, omens, Buddhist and extraordinary powers, Cao Xueqin, the writer of A Dream of Red Mansions, conveyed a latent text vaguely： the hero and the heroine are not interested in those classics but enjoy such works like The Romance of the Western Bower and The Peony Pavilion. Through the thorough description of demons, powers, chaos and deities, it shows the desire of human beings, promotes the plots and decides the dispositions and destinies of the characters.
