On the Development of China′s Anthropology in the 21st Century

人类学传入中国已有百年历史,其发展历程一波三折。站在当前21世纪新起点上看,中国人类学将迎来新的机遇,但其长期积累下来的发展矛盾,诸如学科地位争论、研究成果缺乏对话、现实功利化价值观念影响等问题也将日益凸显。因此,应当明确向度,摆脱内耗,创新理论方法,整合纵横关联,加强应用研究等,积极思考新的发展战略。

Anthropology was introduced to China over a century ago. In the 21st century China＇s anthropology, is facing a variety of opportunities. Nevertheless, problems do exist in such issues as the status of this discipline, the dialogicality of research, and the effects of utilitarianism. It seems that new theoretical orientations and integration are required and practice should be highlighted.
