A STUDY ON THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF MMH AND THE THICKENING MECHANISMS IN MMH MUD

摘要 本文利用X射线衍射仪,微电泳仪对MMH的晶体结构,等电点(IEP)进行了研究。结果表明,MMH是属于六方晶系的晶体,其表面电荷密度的理论值是蒙脱土的2—4倍,表面羟基呈碱性;MMH提粘提切机理:一是MMH同蒙脱土的静电引力;二是两种颗粒表面羟基的氢键化作用,这两种作用是协调一致的。 The crystal structure of MMH and its thickening mechanisms in mud are studied by X ray diffraction and isoelectric point measurements. It is shown that the crystal lattice of MMH is hexagonal and the lattice parameters c and a increase with Mg/Al ratio; the value of surface charge density of MMH theoretically calculated is 2—4 times larger than that of montmorillonite; the sufrace hydroxyls are of basicity; the mechanisms involved in MMH mud thickening are:(1) strong electric attraction between MMH and montmorillonite particles; (2)hydrogen bond formation between surface hydroxyls of these particles.
