Defense Characteristics of Traditional Settlement in Mountainous Area: Taking Zhangji Ancient Town of Zhongxiang City in Hubei as an Example

从张集古镇民居的整体住居环境、古镇的空间格局、民居建筑单体的空间组织形式以及立面特色等几个方面对民居的防卫要素进行研究,并以该古镇典型的民居建筑为例进行分析,系统地论述了张集古镇民居建筑的防御特征及其成因。

This article studies the defense elements of residences from aspects of Zhangji Ancient Town as the overall residential environment, the spatial pattern, the spatial organization of the single residential architecture and the surface characteristic, etc, and systematically expounds their defense characteristics and the reasons by analyzing some typical cases.
