A Study on Cultural Empathy Competence and Intercultural Awareness

文化移情能力是有效进行跨文化交际的关键所在,跨文化意识是交际者跨文化交际能力的主要标志。文化移情能力与跨文化意识既有区别又有密切联系,两者能够相互促进。培养和提升文化移情能力与跨文化意识应遵循的主要原则是:实用性、渐进性、系统性、时代性、合适性;主要途径和方法有:影视鉴赏,实践与体验,文学作品赏析,社会文化专题讲座,重视非语言交际,克服并超越文化障碍、文化对比等。

Cultural empathy competence is the key to effective intercultural communication, and intercultural awareness is the major symbol of one＇ s intercultural communication competence. There are both differences and close relationship between cultural empathy competence and intercultural awareness, and they can improve each other. The principles to be abided by in developing and improving one＇ s cultural empathy competence and intercultural awareness are ： being pragmatic, being advanced gradually, being systematic, being up-dated. Main approaches and methods include watching and appreciating films and TV series, practicing and experiencing in person,reading and criticizing literature works,listening to lectures on certain social and cultural topics, emphasizing on non-verbal communication, overcoming and surpassing cultural obstacles, and contrasting.
