The International Journal of Digital Earth (IJDE), first of its kind in the world, has started publication. Its launching ceremony was held on 19 March in Beijing. The peer-reviewed quarterly is run by Beijing-based International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) in cooperation with Taylor & Francis Group in England. IJDE aims to provide a predominant academic forum for people to exchange ideas, to carry out research and to discuss development problems, says CAS President LU Yongxiang, who is also president of ISDE.
