Under the theme of International Modernization, the 2008 China Modernization Report was released on 28 January in Beijing by the China Center for Modernization Research (CCMR) under CAS, calling for peaceful development in the 21st century. The strategy of 'dove of peace' for China's international modernization is based on an analysis of the world development over the past 300 years, covering five fields (politics, economy, society, culture and ecology) and four aspects (interaction, structure, institutions and concepts), says CCMR Director HE Chuanqi.
