摘要
从板块构造理论的角度说明我国大陆地区构造活动与周边板块作用的关系；根据全球地震活动资料进行统计预报，认为在1997～1998年内，我国东部大陆地区不会发生Ms≥7级地震，发生6级地震的危险性是存在的；我国西部有可能发生7级大震。
From the viewpoint of the plate tectonics theory, the relationship between the tectonic movement in the continental region of China and the achon of plates around the region is explained. Based on the global seisthecity data to make a statistic forecast, it is glven that in the period of 1997~1998, the earthquakes of Ms≥ 7 can not occur in the eastern conhnental region of China, but the danger occurring earthquakes of Ms≥6 could be in existence, and those of Ms≥7 can occur in the western region of China.
