4月的青岛，正是樱花盛开的季节。4月12日，青岛两个植物品种丰富、自然景观优美的城市园林——中山公园、青岛植物园取消收取了几十年的门票，免费向市民和游客开放，“凭票入内”一去不复返了。免费开放恰逢双休日，在两个公园满园春色的吸引下，12日、13日两天共有25万人次入园赏花踏青，改写了这两家公园一年中这一时段创下的游园人数最高纪录。
Since April 12, 2008, Zhongshan Park and Qingdao Biological Park-two sightseeing attractions with rich biological diversity and beautiful natural landscapes-were opened to both citizens and tourists free, which means that the entrance fees that had been charged for dozens of years were cancelled.
