大众化教育与图书馆资源现状分析

Analysis on Current Situation of Mass Education and Library Resources

我国高等教育已经进入大众化阶段,全国毛入学率从1998年的9.8%到2005年的21%;高等教育取得了巨大的发展和成就,同时也存在发展中的问题和矛盾,作为大学教育的三大支柱之一的图书馆,面临着巨大的挑战;图书馆人员、馆舍面积、文献资源等三方面都跟不上大众发展的需要,特别是地方新增普通高校,面对这一现实,政府要加大教育经费投资,图书馆自身要提高素质,整合资源,走资源共建共享的道路,使图书馆真正成为高校文献信息中心,为教学科研服务。

Higher education in China has entered the era of mass higher education. The gross enrollment rate has increased from 9.8% in 1998 to 21% in 2001, which shows great achievement in the development of our higher education. In the mean time, we should notice that problems and contradictions still exist. Being one of the three polar of higher education, Library system is facing great challenges. People, space and resource are all behind the step of the quick development, especially in those new universities in local areas. To solve this problem, the government should invest more in national education, and the libraries should also update themselves, create a resource sharing platform, to become the center of information and resources, and provide better service to education and researching.
