A Multidisciplinary Descriptive Standard for Information Resources： The Research and Application of Higher Education Management Information Standard Based on Dublin Core Metadata

本文通过分析都柏林核心元数据的文本结构，阐述了元素项的定义和取值引用规范作为跨领域的信息资源描述标准对于制定具体数据标准的重要指导意义。结合实际研制过程，分析并比较了《高等学校管理信息标准》在数据元的属性描述方法上的改进，论述了代码标准集的一般制定依据和制定原则，并列举了所研制标准的实际范例。结合高等院校建设管理信息系统碰到的实际数据规范问题，阐述了在制定校级数据标准时需要注意的方面，并列举了在实践中运用都柏林核心元数据的规范化方法、解决各种具有通用性的复杂数据元的标准化问题的一些成功经验。

Through analyzing the text structure of Dublin Core Metadata, this paper demonstrates the significance of the Elements＇ definition and the coding criterion as a muhidisciplinary descriptive standard for establishing idiographic data standards. According to our research in Higher Education Management Information Standard, we analyze and compare the improvement of the Data Elements＇ property description methods, and present the general bases and principles for Code Standard Set with some examples from the project, Combined with the practical data criterion problems in building Management Information Systems in colleges, we demonstrate the key aspects in establishing college-level data standards, We also list some successful experiences in solving generally complicated data elements standardization by Dublin Core Metadata methods.
