邓小平坚持和巩固马克思主义指导地位的思想体系是以马克思主义为核心、指导思想及理论基础的无产阶级的思想体系。它包括:要坚持和巩固马克思主义指导地位,首先要坚持"三个原则";最根本的是要坚持四项基本原则;要一贯始终坚持改革开放;要处理好物质文明和精神文明的关系;要注重对马克思主义理论的研究和宣传工作;要注重思想政治教育工作的重要性和方法,培育"四有"新人;要注重政治文化体制改革,发展社会主义民主和法制;要注重加强和改善党对意识形态工作的领导;要组成一个能取信于民、有希望的领导集体。

Deng Xiao - ping＇ s Thinking System of Guiding Position of Marxism is a system of which Marxism is the core, guiding thought and the theory basis. It pointed out that in order to uphold and strengthen MarXism＇s leading position in ideological sphere, we should hold＂ three principles＂. Namely, we should keep with the Four Basic Principles funda- mentally, we should stick to the reforming and opening policy all the time, we should properly deal with the relation between material progress and spiritual civilization, we should make greater efforts to enhance theoretical study and propaganda works of Marxism, we should strengthen the Ideological and Political Education and Methodology, cultivate the ＂ four-haves＂ new people, we should keep on reforms on political and cultural system, develop socialist democracy and law, we should enhance and improve the leadership of our party for ideology, we should constitute a promising collective leadership of the Party Central Committee to attain the people＇ s trust.
