On the Possibility of Science and Technology Ethics

科学技术伦理不是科学技术与伦理道德的简单交叉与融合,伦理道德的内容内在地包含于科学技术之中,是科学技术本身的应有之义。人类在创造科技之时就赋予了其伦理内涵,科技活动作为人类追求自身福利的活动,在本质上乃是人类的一种伦理追求。科技伦理是科技创造活动和科技成果中所蕴含的体现人的本质力量和内在需求的属性和品质。

Science and technology ethics is not a mere mix - up and fusion of scientific techniques and ethical morality, and the contents of the latter is internally included in the connotations of scientific techniques themselves. When man creates and invents science techniques, he has already endowed them with an ethical dimension. That is to say, activities of scientific techniques are those for man to pursue its own benefit, and those which are essentially an ethical appeal of man. As the properties and characteristics of man, science and technology ethics are embodied in scientific activities and achievements.
