摘要
英语写作是英语的四大基本语言技能之一,而中国大学生的英语写作能力却处在较低的水平,特别是他们在语篇层面上的写作能力尤其欠佳。语篇分析研究的是句子层面之上的语言的使用和构建,因此语篇分析的许多理论,例如语篇模式、衔接和连贯等,都可以运用到英语写作教学中,以大幅度提升学生的英语语篇写作能力。语篇模式理论可以帮助学生构建整体结构严谨,层次清楚的文章;衔接和连贯理论有帮于学生写出逻辑鲜明、语意连贯的语篇。
English writing is one of the four fundamental skills of English, However, as for many college students in China, their performance in English writing is at a low level, especially, their discourse deficiency stand out. Discourse analysis is to study the structure and function of language in use at and above the level of the sentence (Brown and Yule, 1983), therefore many relevant theories are expected to apply to the field of EFL writing so that English learners can improve their competence of English writing. The theory of text pattern can make great contribution to produce a well-knit article; the theory of cohesion and coherence is helpful to build a coherent text with clear logic.
