An Exploration on the Origins of the Position Suffixes -la/-le/-lo in Manchu

对满语方位词词缀-la/-le/-lo的接用条件、表达意义及使用方法进行比较研究后可以确定它与满—通古斯语族语言的位置格词缀-la/-le/-lo/-lo有同源关系,都从原始阿尔泰共同语方向格词缀*-ru/*-rü演变而来。

After a comparative research on the connections condition, expression of meaning and way of usage of the position Suffixes -la/-le/-lo in Manchu, the author thinks that they have the same origins with the position case suffixes -la/-le/-lo/lo in the Manchu-Tungusic languages, which are all developed from the direction case suffixes ＊ -ru/＊ -ru of the primitive Altai common language.
