New BMW gasoline engine with dual turbocharger and direct injection uses common trail system with piezoelectric injector, whose injection pressure is 200bar, as well as turbocharger, which can stand EGT as high as 1080℃. Due to its two front-mounted catalytic converters and one underfloor catalytic converter, new BMW gasoline engine can meet Europe IV and U.S.Ultra-Low Emission Standard with 9.5L/100km fuel comsumption and 74kW/L power per liter.
