摘要
语言本质上是转喻的,文学中的转喻是日常转喻的延伸和发展。本文从认知语言学角度出发,以《新起点——大学基础英语读写教程》为主要语言素材,根据转喻的认知机制和心理特点来探讨转喻对英语阅读理解的影响及大学英语教学中如何帮助学生识别和理解阅读中转喻现象。
Language is intrinsically of metonymy. Literary metonymy is extended and developed from daily metonymy. The paper discusses, from the angle of cognitive linguistics, the effects that the metonymy has on English reading comprehension in the light of cognitive mechanism of metonymy and mental characteristics and ways to help students to distinguish and understand the phenomenon.
