死节:明清之际江南女性的抉择及其原因分析

A Chastity-pursuing Death:An Analysis of the Choice of Women in the South of the Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River between Ming and Qing Dynasty

明清之际的战乱以及由此导致的社会动荡,给江南社会造成了深重的灾难,女性的生存状况急剧恶化。面对这种灾难,江南女性以殉节表明自己的人生抉择。通过对明清之际江南社会环境的恶化、明代贞节观的强化以及江南地区女性的特殊性等方面对产生这一现象的原因进行分析,并对妇女殉节这一社会现象背后的文化涵义进行探讨。

The scourge of the war between Ming and Qing dynasty and the social unrest caused by it have made a grave disaster to the society of the region in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The living condition of women has been worsening rapidly. In front of the disaster, women there chose death to prove their chastity. From the aspect of the social environment of that period, strengthen of the perception of chastity and specialty of the women in this region, this paper aims to analyze the reason and explore the cultural meaning behind it.
