国际关系理论合成是学科发展中的重要问题。本文讨论了国际关系理论合成的内涵、动力、路径与限度。不同于综合解释模式和折中方法,理论合成作为理论创新的重要方式,其目的是构建新的理论。因此,在国际关系学科中,成功的理论合成是稀少的,其应用受到较为严格的限制。
IR theoretical synthesis is an important academic issue. This paper discusses the definition, dynamics, ways,and limitations of theoretical synthesis. Different from the synthetic pattern of explanation and eclecticism, theoretical synthesis provides a form of innovation, aiming at constructing a new theory. As there are very few examples of successful theoretical synthesis in IR research, the application of this method should be strictly limited.
