日语中句子成分之间、词语与词语之间的格关系既可以依靠格助词表面化,也可以通过其他格助词的替代得以表现。「の」在不同文脉的日语句子中具有颇多的替代功能:不仅仅停留在替代其它格助词上,它甚至还延伸至替代准动词、动词、形式名词等其它一些词。这种功能的实现主要通过所接续的前后项之间所存在的逻辑关系,理解上要根据具体的句子作分析。分别从显性替代和隐性替代两个方面探讨了「の」的替代作用。

Case relations between syntactic parts and words in Japanese can be represented by auxiliaries metaphorically. ＂の＂ functions not only as various auxiliaries metaphorically but also as semi-verb, verb and noun. Different functions are realized through syntactic relations and context. The paper illustrates the substitutive uses of ＂の＂ in terms of overt and covert forms.
