In the period of world economy globalization, China is making closer foreign-oriented cooperation and exchange in the fields of water conservancy and hydropower. Therefore, the translation on technical materials plays a great role in project negotiation, bidding and tendering, signature of contract and operation so as to ensure successful implementation of the project. Some of the basic translation skills are put forward together with great examples based on English morphology and syntax in this paper.
