崔致远旅居于长安16年,用诗文记载下了他在异国他乡的生存困惑和情感历程。他始终以异乡人自居,固守自己原有的文化身份,诗中大量运用了"行于路上"、"孤苦无依"和"客居他乡"等意象,弥漫着浓郁的漂泊感和无归属感,将浓浓的乡愁表达得淋漓尽致,体现了寄居他乡的崔致远对真正精神家园的渴望。

Cui Zhiyuan resided in Chang＇ an for sixteen years and recorded his dilemma and feelings during that period of time. He always considered himself as a stranger and preserved his original culture identity. There are a lot of images about ＂staying at the road＂ ,＂being alone without a mate＂and ＂wandering in a strange land＂in his works. And these works are full of strong feeling of being lonely and homeless,expressing his missing incisively and vividly,and reflecting his thirst for genuine spiritual homeland.
