Discussion on the Independent Review's Thought of Rural Relief in 1930s

20世纪30年代,在乡村建设运动的影响下,聚集在《独立评论》周围的自由派学人将关注的目光转向广大农村,在分析农村破产原因的基础上,他们对国民政府倡行的农村复兴计划发表了自己的见解和主张,提出了解决农村困境的措施和建议,形成了较为系统的农村救济思想。虽然该思想并未为国民政府所采纳,但其作为自由派学人笔墨报国的重要体现,不仅对当时的乡村建设运动产生了重要影响,也可为当前的新农村建设提供有益的借鉴和帮助。

Influenced by the movement of rural development in 1930s, the liberal intellectuals related with Independence Review turned their concerned sight to the vast countryside. On the basis of analyis of the reason of rural bankrupt,the own opinion on the rejuvenating countryside plan that the national government advocated and practiced was issued. The measure and suggestion to solve the rural predicament were put forward,and the comparatively systematic thought of rural relief was formed.As the important embodiment of the liberal intellectuals serving country,even though this thought was not adopted by national government,it had not merely exerted an important influence on rural construction at that time,and can also offer beneficial reference and help for the present new rural construction.
