摘要本文构建一个模型来研究技术选择对经济收敛的影响,在这一模型中技术模仿成本取决于技术选择。研究结论表明,由于技术模仿成本小于技术发明成本,因此,发展中国家可以通过模仿(引进)适宜技术而获得比发达国家快的经济增长,最终实现人均收入水平的收敛。而如果总是引进当时的世界前沿技术,那么发展中国家可能会因为模仿成本很高而无法实现人均收入水平与发达国家的收敛。 In this paper, a model is developed to study the relationship between technological choice and economic convergence, in which technological adoption cost is determined endogenously by technological choice. This paper shows that if the developing country adopts appropriate technology, the ratio of skilled labor to unskilled labor in the developing country will increase, hence, the developing country will be able to converge with the developed country. However, if the developing country adopts world technological frontier all time, the adoption cost is high, gap of per capita income between the developing country and the developed country will be widened.
