To dialectically see the unity of the two principles of Party spirit in journalism and the socialist market economy means to develop socialist journalism by actively applying the principle of the socialist market economy according to the requirement of our times; to avoid the obstacles to socialist journalism made by the negative impact of market economy; and to look upon the active function of socialist journalism to market economy, actively integrating into the market economy, serving the economic performance, supervising the economic operation, guiding the economic development.
