校本培训:中学英语教师专业发展的重要途径

School-based Training:An Important Way for Middle School English Teachers' Professional Development

校本培训既是在职教师继续教育的一种重要形式,也是教师专业发展的一个重要途径。全文探讨了校本培训的内涵和特点,分析了校本培训与英语教师专业发展的关系,指出校本培训是新课程背景下中学英语教师专业发展的重要途径,并介绍了几种比较成熟的、有效的英语教师校本培训模式。

School--based training is not only an important form of teachers＇ in--service continuous education, but also an effective means by which teachers realize their professional development. In the present paper, the connotation and characteristics of school--based training are discussed,and its relation with the professional development of middle school English teachers is analyzed. The author pointed out that school--based training is an important approach for teachers＇ professional development in the context of new English curriculum. Furthermore, several effective modes of school--based training intended for English teachers are introduced.
