针对丽水学院入学新生英语基础普遍较差、大学英语教师普遍超负荷工作这一实际状况,从管理层面就丽水学院大学英语教学管理的指导思想作出思考:丽水学院只有遵循"育人为主,终生教育"的教育理念,尊重教师在教育、教学活动中的"主导地位",坚持以"激励为主"的指导思想,树立以"效益为主"的教学管理思想,才能积极推进大学英语教学改革,确保学生的英语水平。

The fresh college students in Lishui University usually have a poor foundation in their English knowledge while most college English teachers are overloaded with the teaching work. The article, based on the above reality, is to talk about the guiding idealogy for the management of college English teaching. It＇s believed that the management should follow the educational principle： ＂Giving first to educating students, lifelong education＂ and respect the dominant status of teachers in the teaching practice. Only by adhering to the guiding ideology of the encouragement and benefit in the management, can the teaching reform of college English be smoothly promoted to ensure the English proficiency of the students in Lishui University.
