Culture Differences of Time Orientation Between China and Western Countries and Intercultural Communication

时间和人们的生活息息相关,任何文化和人类的活动都可以体现在人们对时间的理解和认识上,不同的文化塑造了人们不同的时间取向。文章具体探讨和分析了中西时间取向的文化差异及其对跨文化交际的影响,并提出了减少交际障碍的途径。

Human events occurring in daily life are closely related to time. Time is a fundamental basis on which all cultures rest and around which all activities revolve, different cultures shape different time orientations. The cultural differences of time orientation and its influence in detail from the view of cross-culture are analyzed. In addition, some strategies that how to overcome the obstacles which come from different time orientations between China and western countries are put forward to guide intercultural communication.
