摘要 卢梭和杜威是西方教育史上与柏拉图齐名的、具有划时代意义的人物。卢梭的教育专著《爱弥儿》、杜威的《民主主义与教育》与柏拉图的《理想国》并称人类教育史上三部标志性著作。卢梭的教育思想和杜威的教育思想在尊重儿童主体性上一脉相承。比较卢梭和杜威的教育思想有助于我们更清晰地认识现代教育思想的发展脉络,更好地发掘卢梭和杜威教育思想的现代价值,汲取它们的丰富营养。 Rousseau and Dewey were as significiant as Plato in wester educational history. Both Rousseau's the Emel, Dewey's the Democracy and Education are symbolized educational monographs as Plato's the Public in human history. Dewey's educational thought came down in one continous line with Rousseau's in respecting students' subjectivity. Today, the comparision of Rousseau's educational thought with Dewey's is useful for recognizing the depvelopment choroid of modern educational thought clearly and taking advantage of them adequately.
