试论中国边疆政治学与边政学、民族学的关系

A Preliminary Study of the Relationship between Chinese Politics of the Border Area,the Traditional Ethnology and Politics of the Border Area

中国边疆政治学作为一个学科名称出现于2000年。近年来,这一学科发展很快。但由于这一学科所具有的交叉复合性和历史重叠因素,使人们对它的认识存在相当的模糊。它与传统的中国边政学、民族学关系紧密,但又有着显著的区别。不弄清中国边疆政治学的学科性质、特点以及与中国边政学的联系和区别,就难以发挥其在建设和谐边疆和处理周边关系中的作用。

Chinese Politics of the Border Area as a discipline emerged in 2000 and since then it has experienced quick development. However, because it has interdisciplinary features and reflects the related history,this new discipline causes much confusion among the people concerned. Though Chinese Politics of the Border Area is related to the traditional ethnology and politics of the border area, they are quite different. This paper discusses its disciplinary nature and features as well as its differences from the traditional one and its role in helping construct a harmonious borderland.
