Abstract The crystals of cytochrome bc 1 complex from bovine heart mitochondria was prepared by the crystallization method of concentration gradient capillary. Micro resonance Raman spectra of cytochrome bc 1 complex crystals have been obtained with 413.1nm and 514.5nm laser excitation. Micro resonance spectroscopy has been employed to characterize the heme active sites of the bc 1 complex crystals. These spectral data provided evidance of the topographical arrangement and three-dimensional structure of the bc 1 complex crystal.
