Abstract A Fourier Transform (FT) Raman spectrometer with an Nd:YAG laser operating at 1064nm was used to measure the surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of a series of adenine compounds in silver colloids. Considerable enhancement at 1064nm is clearly found, as compared with SERS with visible excitation. The addition KCl to Ag sols can give further enhancement.
