Abstract A glucose-responsive hydrogel was synthesized by way of entrapping glucose oxidase in chitosan hydrogel, and the submicro structure of chitosan gel(whether loaded with enzyme or not) during stimuli response swelling is detected using small angle light scattering technique. Finally, the light-scattering data are processed by means of Fractal geometry theory.
