上海是中国最大的城市,正全方位快速向国际大都市目标迈进。在前所未有的机遇和挑战面前,上海既要审慎综合交通发展历程中的成就和问题,又要展望宏观环境的发展趋势和变化,增强城市综合竞争力,提高市民生活质量,面向全国,服务长三角。在一体化交通战略指引下,中心城区极速建成轨道网络,积极调控交通需求,促成公交主体模式;郊区城镇以公交引导新城开发,建设完备交通设施,形成多式并举模式;外部区域竭力推进复合通道,满足正常需求增长,培育城市群交通圈;建设一个构筑便捷网络、高效枢纽、全域畅达的巨型交通体系。

Shanghai, the largest city in China, has been striding rapidly towards an international metropolis in every aspect. Facing the unprecedented opportunities and challenges, it is necessary to reconsider the success and the problems in the development comprehensive transportation and also to look on the trends and changes in macro-environment development so as to enhance the city＇s comprehensive competitivity, to improve the citizen＇ s quality of life, to radiate the entire country and serve the Yangtse Delta. Under the strategy of transport integration, a rail network will be constructed in central urban areas, to control actively the transport demand and form the prime transit patterns; for suburban areas, public transport system will guide the development of new towns so as to build complete transportation facilities and form a multi-pattern transit mode; for the outer part, compound access will be promoted to meet the growth of normal demand and foster transport circles for city-clusters. A convenient, efficient and accessible mega transport system will soon be built.
