从遗传因素、年龄因素、临床表现、治疗方法等4个方面论述了肾虚在消渴(糖尿病)发病中的作用,认为肾虚是消渴(糖尿病)发病的关键因素,补肾、护肾是防治糖尿病的有效方法之一。

In this article,the role of kidney deficiency in the onset of emaciation -thirst disease（diabetes） was discussed from four directions, such as genetic factor, age factor, clinical manifestation, and treatment. Then conclusions were obtained that kidney deficiency was the key point during the onset of emaciation - thirst disease,and invigorating or protecting the kidey was one of the effective methods in preventing and curing diabetes.
