敬畏是人类在与大自然进行物质能量交换过程中采取的智慧生存策略,是人类的美德。当前提倡敬畏不是软弱,不是无知;相反,它体现人类的认识和行为能力提高到了新的水平。敬畏是抑制邪恶的真正力量。懂得敬畏才有和谐。敬畏是社会主义和谐社会的道德基础。

Awe is a sapiential strategy of human beings to survive on the world, and it is a virtue. It does not mean flaccidity or ignorance when we advocate this moral attitude; the other way round, it embodies a new level of human beings＇ ability of acquaintance and activity. Awe is an essential force to restrain depravity.Only when people hold awe as a moral attitude can society be harmonious, and awe should be the moral foundation of socialistic harmonious society.
