The founding and issue of coinage is an important component of royalty in the feudal era and different states pay much attention to it. This paper focuses on the relationship between the issue of coinage and the government' s intervention during Tudor England. The long - term regulation of coinage resulted from the need to strengthen royal power and to meet certain special circumstances. By numerous royal proclamations, the Tudor State reinforced coinage of state - control and gained certain positive effect. At the mean time, constrained by some subjective and objective factors, its actual effect is quite limited.
